In detail
Soft-start
The outputs of the sources are activated after the laboratory source is switched on and after the test has been performed. The connected devices are thus protected against possible voltage peaks arising during start-up.
Control of individual outputs with separate buttons
Each output of the laboratory source is controlled by a separate button. Individual outputs can be turned off / on regardless of the state of the other outputs. The switching on of the outputs is signaled by separate LED lights above the individual outputs (only for sources with a double output).
Intermittent warning sound signaling of current limitation
At the moment when the output current of the adjustable sources starts to be limited, this condition is signaled by an intermittent current limitation warning signal. The volume of the sound signaling can be adjusted or turned off for the current source mode.
Optical signaling of current limitation
At the moment when the output current of adjustable sources begins to be limited, this condition is signaled by a flashing decimal point on the relevant ammeter.
Memory of states of outputs and functions before switching off the source
Before switching off the laboratory source, the states of the individual outputs and the connection of the outputs are stored in the internal memory of the laboratory source. When the power is turned on again, the outputs are reset to the state before the power was turned off. This feature can be disabled.
Electronically switched cooling fan
The coolers of the power elements are cooled by an electronically switched fan in case of high load.
Adjusting the volume of the acoustic indication
The volume can be adjusted with the plus and minus buttons.
Possibility to turn off the acoustic indication
For all laboratory sources, the acoustic indication can be simply turned off.
Typical ripple and response to load change
Typical ripple of a P and L series laboratory source
Typical response to a 50% load change
